Time to get those red threads wound onto your bobbins, because 2022 will be the 40th anniversary of Northumbria Lacemakers - and 40 years is traditionally the ‘Ruby’ anniversary so we have a special competition planned!
To help us celebrate our 40 special years, we would like to ask all our members to make a piece of lace, as small and simple or as large and complex as you like, in any style or type of lace... the only requirement is that at least half of the piece must be made using Ruby coloured thread.
Your entry will need to be completed by our Annual General Meeting, which will take place on 21st May 2022 and judging will take place on the day. Entries can be submitted via other members if you are unable to attend.
We can't wait to see what members come up with - be as creative as you like!
